The Gohobi Nanbanyaki Fireplace Teapot is a collector-level ceramic work inspired by traditional hearth kettles and the rustic spirit of Japanese Nanbanyaki ware.

Handmade in coarse pottery with a beam-lifted handle, this 800ml dual-purpose pot reflects the quiet strength of wabi-sabi — raw texture, earthy depth, and time-worn character. Its vertical silhouette and lifted beam form echo traditional fireplace-boiled kettles once suspended above open flames.

The surface carries natural firing marks and subtle tonal variations, created through kiln transformation rather than uniform glazing. Each piece holds presence — not polished perfection, but deliberate irregularity and human touch.

With its 800ml capacity, this pot is suitable for tea gatherings, slow ceremonial brewing, or as a centrepiece within a tea space. It may be used for brewing tea or warming water (please follow proper ceramic heating guidance).

More than a functional teapot, this piece stands as a sculptural object — equally at home in a wabi-sabi interior, a collector’s tea room, or a curated design space.
