This blue-and-white porcelain cup is a contemplative tea vessel that brings together Buddhist philosophy, symbolic patterning, and classical ceramic restraint.

Inside the cup, a softly inner-impressed moonlight motif emerges beneath the glaze. Rather than resting on the surface, the pattern reveals itself from within the porcelain body, creating a sense of quiet depth and inner radiance. The moon has long symbolised clarity, illumination, and calm awareness, and here it serves as a visual echo of inner stillness that unfolds gradually with each use.

The design is inspired by the Manjushri Bodhisattva Heart Mantra, also known as the Manjushri Wisdom Mantra. In Buddhist tradition, Manjushri represents transcendent wisdom, clarity of mind, and freedom from ignorance. The mantra is believed to support the cultivation of insight, enhance memory and eloquence, and dispel confusion and delusion. Its essence lies in purity without defilement and wisdom without discrimination, offering guidance toward balanced understanding and awakened awareness.
