Early Spring, Presented to Zhang Eighteen, an Officer of the Water Bureau.

This is a poem by the Tang Dynasty poet Han Yu, titled "Early Spring, Presented to Zhang Eighteen, an Officer of the Water Bureau."

The drizzle moistens the streets of the capital like pastry,
From afar the grass appears lush, but up close it's sparse.
This early spring scenery is the most beautiful of the year,
Far surpassing the smoke-like willows that fill the imperial city at the end of spring.
